Marvellously Helped

“In Jerusalem he made machines invented by skillful men to be on the towers and the [corner] bulwarks, with which to shoot arrows and great stones. And his fame spread far, for he was marvellously helped till he was strong.” 2 Chronicles‬ ‭26:15‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The above scripture refers to Uzziah, a King of Judah who, at a very young age of sixteen years, was unexpectedly crowned king due to the assassination of his father, king Amaziah.

He ascended the throne of Judah in very uncertain times as his country had suffered defeat in battle many years before and to the dismay of the people, his father had turned away from God to idol worship.

Uzziah did the right thing after he was crowned, by making a firm decision to follow the Lord wholeheartedly. As long as he served the Lord, God made him to prosper and he was marvellously helped until he became very great.

It is possible that you can relate with the above story. You may have found yourself in the spotlight or have been thrust into positions of high responsibility without adequate preparation. Although people around you are singing your praises and urging you on, you know deep in your heart how fearful you feel and how much you dread the thought of failure.

Cheer up because someone great and mighty has got your back! He is called the Holy Spirit. He is the one that proceeds from God the Father, and has been sent to accompany you through life.

The Holy Spirit will strengthen you with might in your heart, make you super-intelligent with wisdom, knowledge and understanding, and give you the right word in season so that you will know what to answer when you’re put to the test.

He believes in your success and He will help you all the way until you become a force to be reckoned with.

Be strong in the Lord today and make your mark on the earth by the power of the Spirit!
